Lobby Concert

Enter:

Stage Door on SW Salmon

Call time:

5:45 PM in room 316, warming up

Dress:

Concert dress (Please arrive in concert dress.  There will not be time to change.)

Cases:

Upstairs dressing room 316, where you will have rehearsal

Time Line:

5:45 pm	Call time
6:00-6:45 pm	Dress Rehearsal
7:00-7:20 pm	Lobby concert
7:20-7:30 pm	Transition - Put instruments away in 316, meet parents outside stage door on SW Salmon.
7:30 pm	PYP concert begins
9:30 pm	PYP concert ends.  Return to 316 to collect belongings.

Note:

** Bring a music stand **.
Parents and friends are not allowed past the stage door please make arrangements to meet parents outside.

Tickets:

Available for advance purchase, call the PYP office 503-223-5939.  Parents can’t get into the lobby without a ticket to the PYP concert.  If your parents are not attending the concert they may meet you outside the stage door when you are done.

Transitions:

In order to make transitions go smoothly please have your parents meet you outside the stage door just after the lobby concert to take you to your seat for the PYP concert.  You may leave your things in room 316 until after the concert.  You will need to get your things after the concert by yourself, orchestra Mums and Dads will be there to help you but your parents must wait for you outside the stage door on SW Salmon.  

Reception:

In the lobby of the Schnitz immediately following the PYP concert. All are welcome.

2009-2010 *NEW* REHEARSAL LOCATION AND SCHEDULE CHANGES

We are happy to say our new home will be at Jackson Middle School.
Jackson is an arts focused middle school in Southwest Portland located
at 10625 SW 35th Avenue Portland, Oregon 97219.

PYP Rehearsal Schedule – Note change in day of string sectionals:

Mondays
4:45-6:10 pm Wind, Brass, Percussion, and Harp sectional
6:30-9:00 pm Full Rehearsal

Wednesdays
4:45-7:00 pm String sectionals
7:15-9:00 pm Chamber Orchestra

PYCO Rehearsal Schedule on Thursdays – Same as last year:

5:30-7:00 pm Full rehearsal
7:00-9:00 pm Theory and Sectionals

PYWE Rehearsal Schedule on Wednesdays – Same as last year:

5:30-6:30 pm Theory
6:45-9:00 pm Full rehearsal

YSE Rehearsal Schedule on Mondays – Note change in day and time:

5:30-6:00 pm Sectionals – Each section (1st violins, 2nd violins, violas, cellos)
will be in a separate classroom and receive coachings from either Ms. Sindell or a PYP string player.
6:00-7:15 pm Full rehearsal
7:20-8:00 pm Theory
